Moulded fibreglass grating.
AxiGrid Industrial Supply supplies moulded fibreglass grating in Cape Town in mini mesh and standard mesh, in 1220 x 2440 mm and 1220 x 3660 mm panels, 25, 38 or 50 mm thick. Choose isophthalic or vinyl ester resin, any RAL colour and a gritted or smooth surface, cut to size.
What it is
A one-piece grid.
Moulded grating is made in one piece: glass fibre and resin form a square grid, so the panel is equally strong in both directions and can be cut in any direction without losing strength. It is the usual choice for walkways, platforms, covers and stairs.
AxiGrid Industrial Supply supplies it in two mesh sizes:
- Standard mesh. Open grid for walkways, platforms and drainage, where water and light should pass through. Openings are 38 x 38 mm in 25 and 38 mm panels, and 50 x 50 mm in 50 mm panels.
- Mini mesh. A finer grid where small objects, heels or wheels must not drop through, such as public walkways and wheelchair routes.

All stock panels are type JM22, with bars 6.5 mm thick at the top and 5.0 mm at the bottom, and 68% open area. They come in isophthalic or vinyl ester resin, in any RAL colour. Colour and cutting
Made to your drawing.
Any RAL colour can be made, so grating can match safety colours, a building or a brand. Panels are cut to size, and CNC cutting handles curves, angles and openings around columns and pipes. AxiGrid Industrial Supply can also help with pre-assembled sections.
